Mouse-over the image to view ‘before and after’ versions

The original image, dating from the 1960’s, showed a great deal of surface damage. Aside from the obvious creases and ‘foxing’, the colour had also
faded quite dramatically. The restoration involved careful removal of the various creases and blemishes using digital editing software. The image was
then adjusted to correct the colour balance, contrast and brightness, in order to restore the image to as close to its original appearance as possible.
